Draft Federal Fiscal Years 2023-2027 (FFYs) Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)

The draft TIP documents NYMTC’s transportation improvements that are proposed for federal funding -- projects that will strengthen and enhance our bridges, highways, transit services, bikeways and walkways. These projects are derived from, and consistent with, NYMTC's Regional Transportation Plan.

A thirty-day public comment period for the draft TIP begins on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, and ends at 4:00 PM on Thursday, August 18, 2022. During this comment period, online public review meetings to gather public commentary will be held on August 9th at 3:00 pm and 6:30 pm.

After the comment period concludes and the commentary received is considered by NYMTC’s members, each of NYMTC’s three Transportation Coordinating Committees (TCCs) will meet publicly to recommend their project listings for inclusion in the final draft TIP. These TCC meetings will be held at 11:30 am on September 7th (Lower Hudson Valley), September 8th (New York City) and September 9th (Long Island). Following those actions, NYMTC’s Program, Finance and Administration Committee (PFAC) will meet publicly on September 22nd at 11:30 am to recommend a draft TIP for adoption by NYMTC’s principal Council members. Lastly, the Council members will meet publicly on October 13th at 11:00 am to adopt the new TIP and submit it to the State for inclusion in the Statewide TIP. Each of these meetings will be held both in-person and online. Further details will be made available two weeks in advance of the meetings.
