The Program, Finance and Administration Committee adopted updated Socioeconomic and Demographic forecasts for horizon year 2055 on October 22, 2020.
These county-level population and employment forecasts were developed for the 31-county region.
The 2055 SED forecasts will be used in the 2050 Regional Transportation Plan and all near-future conformity analysis.
2055 Forecasts
Using the agreed upon methodology, forecasts have been developed for use as data inputs for the New York Best Practice Model (NYBPM) and for the next Regional Transportation Plan. They provide a base for all project-level analysis and a common analytical framework for environmental and technical analysis.
