Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan

Wheel Chair access

On September 4, 2013, an incremental update to NYMTC's 2009 Coordinated Plan was adopted by the Council as part of Plan 2040. The  Coordinated Plan has a regional component and three subregional plans, each of which can stand on its own. The three subregions are: New York City; Long Island (covering Nassau and Suffolk counties); and the Lower Hudson Valley (covering Putnam, Rockland, and Westchester counties).

Changes to the Plan

This updated plan focuses on identifying demographic changes that occurred since the 2009 plan was issued; the changes in unmet needs of the population groups largely dependent on these services; and coordination strategies to address those unmet needs.
