By 2050, 70% of the world’s population will live in cities. To address our biggest global challenges, we must make cities more resilient, healthier, and more sustainable.

In May 2025, the New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) opened CityWorks, a 6,000 square foot exhibition that introduces visitors to the history, functions, and ongoing evolution of New York City infrastructure systems, including transportation.

Join us to learn about the critical role external experts and everyday city residents have played in informing the content and design of the NYSCI exhibit and hear about visitors' responses to the exhibition!
