Public Comment Opens September 16th for Proposed Amendments to the TIP
The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) announces a public comment period for proposed amendments to the Federal Fiscal Years 2026-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The comment period begins on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 and ends on Friday, September 25, 2026. The comment period provides the opportunity for public feedback on the proposed changes to the TIP.
Comments are due in writing to NYMTC-TIP@dot.ny.gov or by submittal through NYMTC’s Plan/TIP Visualization Tool no later than 4:00 p.m. on September 25, 2026.

Public Comment Opens August 19th for Proposed Amendments to the TIP
The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) has announced a public comment period for proposed amendments to the Federal Fiscal Years 2026-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The comment period runs from Wednesday, August 19, 2026, through Friday, August 28, 2026. Comments must be submitted in writing to NYMTC-TIP@dot.ny.gov or through NYMTC’s Project Tracker site no later than 4:00 p.m. on August 28, 2026.

The Public Comment Period for the Conformity Determination Opens April 27th

The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) has prepared a draft Transportation Conformity Determination under the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990. A thirty-one-day public comment period for the draft Transportation Conformity Determination will begin on Monday, April 27, 2026, and end at 4 pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
This draft Transportation Conformity Determination ensures that transportation projects and programs in the proposed FFYs 2026-2030 TIP and the FFYs 2026-2055 Regional Transportation Plan, as amended, are consistent with the motor vehicle emissions budgets set by the New York State Implementation Plan for Air Quality in relation to relevant nonattainment and maintenance areas.
