The mission of the Steering Committee is to provide guidance, direction and oversight to the study. This includes all technical tasks, public outreach efforts, and preparation of deliverables. As part of its operation, it receives input from the study Advisory Committee. Its decisions are made on a "consensus" basis. It is not tasked with formally adopting the final product of the study, as adoption is the responsibility of the sponsoring MPO boards.
