The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) and Metropolitan
Mobility Network invite nominations for the 2008 Regional Commuter
Choice Awards.
The Regional Commuter Choice Awards program recognizes employers
in New York City, Long Island, Rockland, Westchester and Putnam
Counties that succeed in moving employees out of single occupancy
vehicles and into alternate transportation programs—van/carpooling,
bicycling, walking and taking mass transit to work—to help
improve the commute, reduce traffic congestion and clean the air
“We
have introduced the Regional Commuter Choice Awards program
to inspire area companies to step up and improve the ride –
and the air – by encouraging their employees to rideshare,
walk bike or use transit services to get to work.”
Joel Ettinger, Executive Director,
NYMTC |
