Westchester - W001

Location W001 is an aesthetically pleasing trail, as seen in Figures W03-001-1 through -4 and W05-001 and -2.
The trail is heavily used by bicyclists, joggers, walkers and people on rollerblades. The intersection of the trail with NY 35 is dangerous for trail users. There are warning signs of an intersecting bike trail in both directions on NY 35 (Figures W03-001-5 and -6), but most cars don't slow down, stop or yield to the bicyclists and/or pedestrians. There is a large parking lot on the north side of NY 35, west of the trail (Figure W03-001-7) and a  smaller parking lot on the south side  of NY 35, east of the trail (Figure W03-001-8).
