Location Su034 is the intersection of Stony Brook Road and South Drive in Stony Brook. It is a signalized T-intersection with Stony Brook as the stem of the ‘T”. Stony Brook Road is a two-way north-south roadway with one travel lane on the north leg of the intersection, and a shared through/left turn lane and right turn lane on the south leg of the intersection, as shown in Figures Su05-034-1 and -2. Stony Brook Road also has a shoulder on both sides of the roadway, as shown in Figures Su05-034-1 and Su05-034-2. South Drive is a two-way east-west roadway with one left turn lane and one right turn lane, as well as a multi use path along the north side of the road, as shown in Figure Su05-034-3. |
