NY 24 Flanders Road and CR 105 Cross-River Drive, Riverhead

Location Su026 is the intersection of NY 24 Flanders Road and CR 105 Cross River Road in Southampton, a four-legged signalized intersection. CR 105 is a two-way north-south roadway with one right turn bay, one left turn bay, and two through lanes on both approaches of CR 105, as shown in Figures Su05-026-1 and -2. CR 105 also has a shoulder on both sides of the roadway. NY 24 is a two-way east-west roadway with one channelized right turn lane, one through lane, and one left turn bay on the westbound approach of the intersection, as shown in Figure Su05-026-3; and one shared through/right turn lane and one left turn bay on the eastbound approach of the intersection, as shown in Figure Su05-026-4. There is a shoulder on both sides of NY 24 but they begin just outside of the intersection, as shown in Figure Su05-026-4. |
