Staten Island Bikeway and Cultural Trail: South Beach near Sands Lane

Locations S007 is at Staten Island Bikeway and Cultural Trail: South Beach near Sands Lane, as shown in Figures S04-007-1 through -3. This is one of Staten Island’s major beaches and has a walkway that runs north and south for pedestrians and riders. South Beach boardwalk, is located about two miles farther north near Sands Lane. A playground, bocce courts, handball courts, and picnic areas are located here. The boardwalk has about quarter mile designated bike lanes markings as shown in Figure S04-007-1. The access to the boardwalk is provided by the ramps that can be seen in Figure S04-007-2. The South Beach Boardwalk provides an eye-catching view as shown Figure S04-007-03. |
