Skillman Avenue and Queens Boulevard

Location Q044 is the intersection of Skillman Avenue and Queens Boulevard, a four-legged signalized intersection. As shown in Figures Q05-044-1 and -2, Skillman Avenue is a two-way north-south roadway with one left turn lane and one shared through/right turn lane on the southbound approach of the intersection, two travel lanes on the northbound approach of the intersection, and sidewalks on both sides of the roadway. There is a posted sign instructing cyclists to make a right turn located on the west side of Skillman Avenue north of the intersection, as shown in Figure Q05-044-3. As shown in Figures Q05-044-4 and -5, Queens Boulevard is a two-way east-west roadway with three travel lanes in each direction and sidewalks on both sides of the roadway. Skillman Avenue, south of the intersection, provides parking on both sides of the roadway. |
