Location Bx044 is the intersection of Bronx River Avenue, Westchester Avenue and Close Avenue, a five-legged, signalized intersection. Bronx River Avenue is a two-way north-south roadway with two travel lanes and one parking lane in each direction, with sidewalks on both sides of the roadway, as shown in Figures Bx05-044-1 and-2. Westchester Avenue is a two-way east-west roadway with one through lane and one shared lane in each direction, which are separated by the columns that support the NYC Transit rails overhead, as shown in Figures Bx05-044-3 and-4. Close Avenue is a one-way northbound roadway with one travel lane and one parking lane, and a sidewalk on the east side of the roadway. |
