Boston Road, West Farms Road and Westchester Avenue

Location Bx030, an intersection at Boston Road, East Tremont Avenue, and West Farms Road, is a six-legged signalized intersection. Boston Road makes up the north and southwest legs, East Tremont Avenue makes up one west leg and two northeast legs and West Farms Road makes up the south leg of the intersection. Boston Road is a two-way north-south roadway with one travel lane and one parking lane in each direction, as shown in Figures Bx05-030-1 and -2. East Tremont Avenue is a two-way east-west roadway, as shown in Figures Bx05-030-4 and-5. On the east side of the intersection, East Tremont Avenue has three westbound lanes and two eastbound lanes that are separated by a planted median, which has a cut to allow for U-turns from westbound to eastbound East Tremont Avenue. On the west side of the intersection, East Tremont Avenue has one travel lane and one parking lane in each direction. West Farms Road is a two-way north-south roadway with one travel lane and one parking lane in each direction, as shown in Figure Bx05-030-3. All roadways provide sidewalks on both sides. |
