Shore Parkway Greenway at Knapp Street

Location B002 is along the Shore Parkway Greenway. The count location was at Knapp Street, near its western terminus in Sheepshead Bay (Figures B03-002-1, B03-002-2 and Figures B04-002-1 and -2). The Shore Parkway Greenway is a multi-use path that has a terminus at Bay Ridge Avenue and travels east along the shoreline of Brooklyn, continuing into Queens. There is a break in the continuity of the path between Bay Parkway and Knapp Street. In this area, there are well marked bike lanes and it is easily accessible from Bay Parkway and Knapp Street. Access to the path is provided at each of the study locations. There are benches along the path for users to sit and relax, except at Pennsylvania Avenue where the path is not wide enough. |
