  1. Historical Censuses
    Census of Population and Housing data present here ranges from our most recent census to the historical decennial census conducted throughout the decades. Some of the data were scanned as an effort to make historical census information available to the public.
  2. Surveys
    A survey is a method of collecting and analyzing social, economic, and geographic data. Surveys provide information about demographic, social, economic, and housing characteristics of the United States population, as well as business, industry and trade data. This provides a various links for survey sources that Census Bureau use for their data collection.

    The Economic Census provides a detailed portrait of the Nation's economy once every five years, from the national to the local level.
  4. Vehicle Inventory and Use Survey (VIUS)
    The U.S. Census Bureau conducts the Vehicle Inventory and Use Survey (VIUS) - formerly known as the Truck Inventory and Use Survey (TIUS). It is a sample survey of private and commercial trucks registered (or licensed) in the United States as of July 1 of the survey year. It is used to measure the physical and operational characteristics of the Nation's truck population.

  6. Population Estimates Program
    The Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program publishes population numbers between censuses.
  7. Population Projections Program
    Population Projections Program projects the future resident population for the nation and for each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The data are available by age, sex, and race/ethnicity.

    The Census of Governments works to provide periodic and comprehensive statistics about governments and governmental activities.
